Coccaro Beach Club

Finally found a beach club worth a return visit. Coccaro Beach Club has a pleasant sand beach located within an alcove with the clearest of seas. Bathing is a pleasure and the facilities are clean and complemented by attentive staff. Lunch on the waters edge was accompanied by a pleasant sea breeze, some bubbles and fresh fish. Perfect ingredients for a slow lunch. Menu obviously favours fish but somewhat limiting for the carnivores amongst us. The club is child friendly and quite secure. A good time was had by all. Returned two days later only to have missed an irritating feature that unfortunately downgrades the establishment to just another Italian disappointment. I noticed a €16 discrepancy between two exact bottles of bubbly, one ordered on the beach and the other ordered in the dining area. When queried, I was proudly informed that there is a surcharge for ordering on the beach! The beach and the dining area is equidistant from the bar! I walked it! It is so typically petty and very disappointing from such an establishment to be penny pinching. As if the waiters would not be tipped! Given the mentality I would not be surprised if the surcharge is not shared with the waiters. Italians have a habit of capping the hospitality experience with unnecessarily annoying but with obvious avariciousness. So few establishments are able to break through this barrier. They comfortably fool themselves that nobody will notice. We all do! Downgrade buffering…

Amazing little beach club! Honestly some of the best Nigiri I’ve had in my life! The club has showers, changing rooms, a lovely private sandy beach! I’d highly recommend!

Lovely food. Lovely beach club. Lovely aesthetic. Great service. Right on the water. Good for families (we went with a 1.5 year old).

One of the best beach clubs in Puglia. Very good service and reasonable prices. For a full experience make sure to book yourself a gazebo. Super easy to communicate with staff on WhatsApp!

Awesome for families! We’re a family of four (2 adults, 3 year old, 10 month old) and spent a day here. Beds at the end of May were €30 each, and included an umbrella, really comfortable padded chairs, and towels. The club is small which is great with kids, so even if you’re not in the first row you can see your kids in the water. The water was very calm and clear. Service was great all around and everyone spoke English. We had lunch at the beach and the waiter was so attentive and fast. Before we left we were able to clean our baby in a hot shower which was a real plus. Also, the decor here is gorgeous.

Amazing!!! Its crowded but it has an excellent service from the begin till the end and delicious food!! Fish, lobster, sauté, prawns, perfect prepared, big thanks to chef. Wine card is great. Service at the restaurant is brilliant!! The best in Puglia

Lovely lunch on a warm, blue sky day. Super fresh seafood. Nice wine list - perfect days for a few bottles of rose. Service is fantastic. We’re a party of 14 and of mixed ages. Ability to cater to vegetarians and glutton free. Nice beach club with a variety of bed & umbrella options - book in advance. Nice area to swim as well.

Good beach club. Warm showers and clean changing rooms and toilets. Lifeguard on duty and plenty of staff. Sun bed + umbrella + lunch and drinks for family of 4 was 300+ euros.
